The True Brothers (Jacky and Roger) started in the music business back in October 1990. At the time they were known as True & True. (Click here) to see True & True picture Gallery. In June 1994 they changed the name of their act to The True Brothers to drive home the point that they are indeed real life brothers Jacky and Roger True. Since 1993 The True Brothers have taken home many awards from NCCMA The North Carolina Country Music Association as well as Airplay International / King Eagle Awards Etc. (Click here) to see the pictures we have. In 1996 the True Brothers played the grand opening of the Louvin Brothers Museum in Historical Bell Buckle, Tennessee at the special invitation of Charlie Louvin, the surviving member of the World Famous Louvin Brothers. Charlie has been a Grand Ole Opry member since 1955 and is now a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame with his late brother Ira Louvin who was killed in 1965 in a head on car collision and scored many hits during the 1950's and 60's for Capitol Records. The tribute album to them, (Livin', Lovin', Losin' / Songs of the Louvin Brothers) won a Grammy in 2004 with such stars as Johnny Cash, Marty Stuart and Rhonda Vincent among others. Charlie and Ira went down in country music history with such songs as (I Don't Believe You've Met My Baby), (When I Stop Dreaming) and (My Baby's Gone) as well as hymns like (The Family Who Prays). (Click here) to see Louvin Museum picture Gallery. In 2002 Jacky and Roger performed on the legendary (Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree) a staple in country music since 1947. Jacky and Roger were there to pay a tribute to the ailing Teddy Wilburn, one half of the famous Wilburn Brothers duo by singing two of their biggest hits, (Hurt Her Once For Me) and (Trouble's Back In Town). Jacky and Roger were backed up by the Opry Stage Band featuring the legendary Jimmy Capps, Dena Johnson and Billy Linneman. Country star Lois Johnson who once recorded for MGM Records and did albums with Hank Williams Jr. as well as Jimmy Martin came by to host the show and she introduced Jacky and Roger on stage. "The brothers true" as Charlie Louvin likes to refer to Jacky and Roger, in 1995 started appearing at the International Country Music Fan Fair in Nashville. By doing so they have rubbed elbows with many famous country & western stars such as Marty Stuart, Willie Nelson and David and Howard Bellamy of The Bellamy Brothers and many more.
