Released in 2001. This is the first all Bluegrass all Gospel album by The True Brothers and The Countrymen which is the backing band of bluegrass legend Bobby Atkins. Bob and his son Mark Atkins join ace pickers Timmy Martin - fiddle, Tommy Randolph - guitar, Pete Lortz - bass, Tony Mabe - Organ, Dick Minor - guitar, Danny Minor - dobro and of course Bobby Atkins on the banjo and last but not least there's Mark Atkins on the mandolin. Even Bob's old band member Dara White comes by to help out with vocals. The album features fifteen cuts most notably songs penned by the likes of Loretta Lynn - I Pray My Way Out of Trouble as well as the title track The Third Man. Other songs are Gospel mile makers dating back to the 1930's and 40's like A. P. Carters - Something Got A Hold Of Me and the Roy Acuff hit - Wreck on the Highway. The traditional is represented here too with numbers like Lord I'm Coming Home. The boys add their own spin on some of these by doing their now popular recitations. Four of the songs are Originals like There's A Gate which was a number twenty four bluegrass hit for the fellows back in 2001 according to Power Source Magazine which is governed by the CCMA (Christian Country Music Association) of Nashville. Grand Ole Opry star and hall of famer Charlie Louvin of the world famous Louvin Brothers with such songs as The Family Who Prays does the albums liner notes. Song Title List.
