Notes for Torey Atkins Duncan started her career in music at the early age of eleven with her daddy (Bobby Atkins), two of her brothers (Mark and Matt Atkins) and a cousin (Tim Atkins). They were the original Countrymen band. Soon her husband to be Kenny Duncan joined the band and shortly after they were married. Torey and Kenny both recorded with the Countrymen for alot of years after that. This album shows the versatility of the different styles that Torey sings. Some of the songs are remasters of Torey when she was only seventeen years old. Four live performances are from the Myrtle Beach Opry. "Tammy", "Silver Thread and Golden Needles", "The Song Remembers When" and "That'll Be The Day" where Torey and her husband Kenny performed at the time. Torey is still singing around Myrtle Beach. Her husband Kenny plays six nights a week at "Legends" also in Myrtle Beach, SC. Torey has really paid her dues in the music business. I think this album deserves alot of airplay.
